| Tempest is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional theatre company in residence in Hudson
County since 1996. The design and teaching staff for Tempest have over 50 years of combined experience providing arts-in-education and theatre programs in the NYC metro area. Tempest produces 2-3 mainstage productions per year, holds theatre classes and works with various youth and cultural organizations to promote the arts in Hudson County. Tempest's goal is to use the arts to equip young people with positive life skills and a strong social conscience while encouraging them to make healthy choices for themselves. Tempest is dedicated to continuing the education of children through exposure to the dramatic arts. |

 Looking for a free theatrical night out? Assigned a play to read for class and want to explore the text further? Heard about a play but unable to catch a production? Then join us in our new free play reading series - The Salon. The series serves as a laboratory for performing artists and audiences to explore plays that are rarely produced in a relaxed reading salon atmosphere. A Question and Answer session ends every salon night.
Tempest will work closely with you and your staff to provide developmentally and age appropriate activities and lessons. Our work is experiential and includes active participation from the students at all levels - from the one-day workshops to the performances. | |||||||||
